Thanks to my friend Matt Morris, I got to watch Sung-Bong Choi awesome performance from the Korea’s Got Talent Youtube video which has more than 7 million views as of now. Whether he wins or not, he’s destined to be the next Susan Boyle or Paul Potts from the Britain Got Talent show. What is so special about this 22 year old Korean guy is probably his sad story since young, and when he sings, there weren’t dry eyes to be found.

As the co-author of best selling book “The Art And Science Of Success“, I think Sung-Bong Choi has clearly demonstrated what it takes to be successful. His story begins at 3 years old, when he was sent to an orphanage and ran away at the age of 5 because he was beaten by the people there. This is the part where emotions start stirring (at least on me): He went on to live alone and support himself by selling gums and energy drinks on the streets for the next 10 years!

I cannot imagine how a 5 year old kid can survive all by himself, by selling things on the street and sleeping on the stairs/public toilet because he don’t have a home to stay. And despite all these circumstances, he still have a passion and a dream to pursue… that is singing.. He first get attracted to singing from a singer at a night club (what a place to get inspiration!) who sings passionately and this actually got him attracted to singing.

He then started to practice by listening and singing himself, and through sheer determination, managed to study and take master classes on singing. Based on his circumstances, nobody will fault him if he turns out to be a failure in life…. But somehow, he have the courage to chase his dreams and went on to inspire thousands and thousands of people! Well done, Sung-Bong Choi!!
